How referrals, fees, service areas, seller contact information, and direct buyer-seller transactions work.

01

Joining the network

How do I sign up?+

Choose all categories or select the specific items you buy, add one or more ZIP-code service areas and travel radii, then provide your contact and alert preferences. No credit card is required.

Does it cost anything to join?+

No. There is no signup fee or subscription. You pay only when you choose to claim a specific seller referral.

Where does WBT operate?+

Buyer signups and seller submissions are accepted throughout the United States. Referral volume depends on seller activity in each area.

02

How referrals work

How will I receive seller alerts?+

Choose email, text message, or both during signup. Alerts are sent when a seller’s ZIP code and categories match your preferences.

What can I see before paying?+

An alert can include the seller’s city and ZIP code, item categories, descriptions, photos, pickup preferences, and the exact referral fee. Private contact information remains hidden until you claim.

How are buyers matched with sellers?+

Matching uses the category preferences and service areas saved to your buyer profile. Relevant alerts are sent in real time as sellers submit.

Can I see an example alert?+

Yes. Review the Seller Alert Example to understand the information shown before a claim. The example will be updated to match the final alert format.

03

Pricing and fees

How much does a referral cost?+

Fees start at $2 and vary by item category and potential value. Every alert shows the exact fee before you decide whether to claim.

What does the fee provide?+

The fee unlocks the seller’s submitted contact information so you can contact the seller directly. It pays for the introduction, not a guaranteed response, purchase, or profit.

Are referral fees refundable?+

No. Claimed referral fees are non-refundable, including when a seller does not respond or a transaction does not happen.

How are payments handled?+

Referral payments are processed securely through Stripe. WBT does not store your card details.

04

Sellers and inventory

Who are the sellers?+

Sellers are people moving, downsizing, settling estates, clearing storage, or simply prioritizing a quick and convenient transaction over holding out for maximum retail value.

What kinds of inventory will I see?+

Furniture, tools, appliances, electronics, antiques, collectibles, clothing, vehicles, household lots, storage-unit contents, commercial equipment, and other used inventory.

Does WBT set the purchase price?+

No. You negotiate price, payment, timing, and pickup directly with the seller. WBT does not broker or participate in the transaction.

05

Areas and alerts

Can I add multiple service areas?+

Yes. Add multiple ZIP codes and assign a separate travel radius to each area during signup.

Can I change my categories or areas later?+

Yes. The existing buyer settings and support workflows will be preserved during the redesign so preferences can be updated without creating a new account.

Can I pause or unsubscribe from alerts?+

Yes. Unsubscribe and preference-management links are included in WBT communications. Those private utility pages remain outside public navigation.

06

For resellers

Why is WBT useful for resellers and flippers?+

WBT sends matching local seller opportunities to you, reducing the time spent searching public marketplaces and helping you focus on evaluating and moving inventory.

Can I resell items purchased through WBT?+

Yes. Once you purchase items from the seller, they are yours to resell through your shop, online marketplaces, auctions, or another channel.

How can I improve my sourcing strategy?+

Read How Resellers Find Local Inventory Before Anyone Else and our guide on becoming a reseller.

07

Trust and terms

Is WeBuyThat legitimate?+

Yes. WeBuyThat is operated by Referrals For America Inc., a Minnesota corporation. Payments are processed through Stripe, and the platform’s Terms and Privacy Policy are publicly available.

Is my buyer information shared before I claim?+

No. Your signup information and preferences are not shown to sellers. You choose when to contact a seller after claiming.

What if I need help?+

Email hello@webuythat.com with the email address associated with your buyer account.
